Sekaijin Club 🌏 event was held on July 17th at Global Commons.

Participants included Japanese students, international students, faculty and staff.

The event began with an interesting quiz prepared and led by a student volunteer. Participants enjoyed answering the questions and learning from one another in a relaxed atmosphere.

The participants then learned about how sunflower seeds are eaten in China. After watching an explanation, they had the opportunity to try eating them themselves.

Two different flavors of sunflower seeds were prepared, along with sanzashi (Chinese hawthorn), allowing participants to experience a variety of Chinese-style snacks.

Then it was time for "free conversation". The participants exchanged opinions on the theme "Favorite childhood snacks" and "Famous snacks from your country."

The conversation provided an opportunity to learn about different food cultures and share personal memories. Participants appeared to enjoy the exchange and the opportunity to communicate with one another.

It truly seemed like everyone had a wonderful time.

Thank you so much for joining, we hope you had fun!

We look forward to seeing you at the next Sekaijin Club event! 👋🏼
