Sekaijin Club 🌏 event was held on June 19th at Global Commons.

Participants included Japanese students and international students.

The event began with self-introductions, and then, with the help of international students from China, South Korea, and Cuba, the participating students learned how to say numbers from 1 to 10 in the languages of their respective countries.

Although it was a short time, they challenged themselves to learn Chinese, Korean, and Spanish, enjoying a fun experience of different cultures. Afterward, they attempted to build a paper cup tower using the numbers they had learned. While using unfamiliar foreign languages was not easy, the students actively participated.

Then it was time for "free conversation". The participants exchanged opinions on topics such as "the image of Shimane that international students had before coming" and "things that surprised them after actually living in Shimane."

Japanese students shared their experiences living in Shimane and recommended places and experiences they would like to share with international students.

It was an opportunity to discuss the unique charm of Shimane from each person's perspective and deepen their exchanges.

And we finished the event with a fun round of "Pictionary".

It truly seemed like everyone had a wonderful time.

Thank you so much for joining, we hope you had fun!

We look forward to seeing you at the next Sekaijin Club event! 👋🏼
