On May 29, we held a company information session for international students interested in pursuing employment opportunities in Japan. The session was organized with the cooperation of Matsue Yamamoto Metal Technos Co., Ltd., and was attended by six international students.
The session began with opening remarks by Prof. Sakane, Director of the International Center, followed by a presentation from Mr. Ishida and Ms. Nagashima of Matsue Yamamoto Metal Technos Co., Ltd. They provided the company’s vision and activities, its strengths, and the qualities they seek for prospective employees. The presentation, which incorporated actual products and video footage, was easy to understand, and provided participants with valuable insights.
During the Q&A session, attendees asked many specific and thoughtful questions, including inquiries about the employment of foreign nationals within the company and its affiliated firms, career paths after joining the company, and the potential for future overseas expansion.
Some participants later visited the company in person, demonstrating the effectiveness of this initiative in showcasing the appeal of local businesses. The International Center remains committed to providing opportunities for international students to connect with regional companies in the future.
