On April 14, we held the first job-hunting guidance session for international students interested in finding a job in Japan. Co-hosted by International center and Higher Education Center of Shimane University, this session was designed to help international students better understand the job-hunting process in Japan. The event took place in a hybrid format (in-person & online) and had a total participation of 20 students.
During the session, Professor Sakane from the International Center provided explanations in both Japanese and English regarding the schedule for job hunting in Japan and the support services offered by the university. Since job hunting in Japan begins earlier than in other countries, it is crucial for international students to understand the schedule and gather information. This session focused primarily on methods for gathering information tailored to individual career plans and Japanese language proficiency. The second guidance session will be divided into Japanese and English tracks and is scheduled for May 25 (Japanese) and June 1 (English).
The International Center plans to continue providing a variety of support services to help international students conduct their job search smoothly.
