On February 4th, international students from our university visited Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. This activity, conducted as one of University’s employment supports for international students, collaborating with private companies, aims to deepen their understanding of companies in Shimane prefecture. Fourteen international students participated.
After general briefing by Ms. Itoga of the Campany’s Human Resources and General Affairs Department, regarding the company's history, business activities, and environmental initiatives, the students toured the company's Iya Factory. The Iya Factory primarily manufactures tractors, and the students were shown the whole production flow, including welding, pressing, and assembling. Following the tour, students exchanged opinions with company representatives. They expressed admiration for the various safety measures and the sophisticated system to manage complex processes efficiently. For some students, this was their first company visit in Japan. It proved a highly meaningful visit, allowing them to experience the philosophy and values of Japanese companies through their production and management methods.
