Shimane University held a variety of international exchange and global-focused events during November, 2025, a period designated as SU Global Month. The purpose of this event was to raise global awareness of faculty members and students, and to promote globalization throughout the university. This is the seven'th year SU Global Month was held. A total of 1,178 students, faculty staff and citizens participated.
During Various events were conducted such as study abroad information sessions introducing study abroad programs and language learning methods, events to deepen multicultural understanding, and events to interact with international students through international exchange events and extracurricular activities.
Global Fashion Walk events for international students were also held. Participants discovered new and interesting aspects of other cultures, and through traditional clothing, language sharing, displays, and interactive activities, the Global Fashion Walk became a memorable celebration of diversity and highlighted the cultural richness of Shimane University.
The International Center, Shimane University will continue to organize such events in the future, in order to raise global awareness for faculty and staff members as well as students, and to promote the university's further globalization.
