The International Center has established alumni associations in various countries, building a network connecting current and former international students.
We currently have alumni associations in 10 countries, and we launched new alumni associations in France and Myanmar. We also held alumni meetings in each country, where participants shared their thoughts and impressions about student life.
Many current international students said they are enjoying their student life to the fullest. They often faced language barriers in their daily lives, and noted that it was very difficult to adjust to the new environment and systems, which are very different from their home countries. Alumni described their experience at SU as invaluable and encouraged current international students to focus on their work and cherish each day.
We also heard suggestions and ideas from members about measures to increase the number of international students, and about finding job in Japan (Shimane Prefecture).
The International Center will continue to actively support exchanges between international students through alumni activities.
