On February 26, the International Center at Shimane University participated in an online study abroad fair for prospective graduate students hosted by Hokkaido University. The fair was aimed at Sub-Saharan Africa, and ten people from Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and other countries attended Shimane University’s seminar.
During the informational seminar, a SU faculty member explained about the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, which offers the course taught in English, and also introduced the university outline. Many students asked about scholarships, tuition exemption, and required English language qualifications. They were particularly interested in the Major in Agricultural and Life Sciences.
Through this online fair, the International Center hopes to attract students from Sub-Saharan Africa to study at Shimane University. The center will continue to actively participate in such fairs in order to accept more international students in the future.
