On December 5th, the Job Matching Session for International Students of Small and Medium-Sized Corporations in Shimane and Highly Skilled Overseas Personnel was held online. Nine international students from Shimane University who are interested in finding jobs in Shimane Prefecture participated in this event.
This event was hosted by the Shimane Federation of Small Business Associations with the aim of matching local companies with highly skilled overseas personnel interested in finding jobs in Shimane Prefecture. Nine companies of various industries joined the event. After the presentations from the corporations, the international students actively expressed their desire to be employed by confirming hiring information and introducing themselves.
International students said, “I was able to understand the good points of small and medium-sized corporations and would like to join one of these companies after graduation,” and “I became more interested in seeing various business cultures.” Through this matching event, international students were able to learn about companies in Shimane, and a change was seen in their consciousness regarding job hunting at small and medium-sized corporations.
For international students to be able to engage in job hunting smoothly, Shimane University will continue to support them in various ways through events such as the matching session.
