Webpage Showcasing International Students’ Home Country's Rice Dishes is Now Available

   Shimane University received many donations of rice from different organizations for the international students in need due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection.

   Thanks to this aid, the lives of many international students were supported and they are able to continue their studies. Shimane University and its international student community would like to express its sincere gratitude for your warm support.

   With the aim of having these feelings of gratitude reach as many people as possible, Shimane University’s Center for International Exchange and Center for Foreign Language Education collaborated on creating a web page showcasing rice dishes from international students’ home countries.

   The recipes for the dishes and videos of international students actually making the cuisine in an easy to understand way are both uploaded to this webpage. While these dishes may not be familiar in Japan, why not use this opportunity to try your hand at making some of the foods?
