公開日 2019年12月24日

On December 7th, the Center for International Exchange at Shimane University held its 12th annual International Party for the purpose of fostering international exchange and enhancing the mutual understanding among Shimane University international students, Japanese students, faculty members and related people who support international students in the local community. Approximately 200 participants joined the party.
At the beginning of the first portion of the International Party, President Dr. Yasunao Hattori gave an opening statement expressing his gratitude to those who interact with international students. The President also gave a letter of appreciation to Mr. Furuse, a special advisor of San-in Godo Bank, Ltd., which supported the international students' scholarship program for international students who wish to work for local companies. Next, an undergraduate student from China gave her impressions regarding her life in Shimane and at Shimane University. Following her presentation, an international student alumnus of Shimane University who currently works at a company in Shimane Prefecture gave his impressions regarding life studying abroad and finding a job in Japan.
During the second portion of the International Party, the venue changed to where the International Party Planners introduced songs, dances, and national dress from various countries. Participants enjoyed the events over international cuisine. It was a meaningful party that deepened exchanges for participants, including international students of Matsue Campus and Izumo Campus, who seldom have the opportunity to meet.
Thank you so much to everyone who came to the International Party.
