Shimane University held a gathering with the Alumni Association Indonesia in Jakarta on November 23, 2019. The Alumni Association Indonesia has the longest history among other SU International Alumni Associations. SU also currently has alumni associations in Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Thailand. SU currently hosts seven Indonesian students and their numbers are slowly increasing.
The gathering welcomed fourteen people including alumni and their family members. Participants discussed updating their current occupations and contact information, and the student exchange status between SU and one of our partner universities in Indonesia, Andalas University. They also talked about Shimane, which reminded them of many good memories of their study life at SU.
SU is striving to enhance our university’s globalization by strengthening collaboration with International Alumni Associations.
