Dr Yasufumi Tsukamura, Regional Manager of Asia, PeaceWinds Japan, authorised non-profit corporation based in Jinseki-Kōgen Town in Hiroshima, visited Shimane University to give a lecture, as a part of Global Insight Seminar, titled ‘Regional Development and International Cooperation’ on 28 November 2018. He discussed on a close relationship between development in a local level and cooperation in a global level with considering on a case of PeaceWinds Japan’s contribution to agricultural development in Nepal and Sri Lanka as well as Seiyo City, Ehime and Ōnan Town, Shimane in Japan.
Participants deepened their understanding on international cooperation where various types of approaches are available through the lecture and discussion triggered by the questions raised by participating students.
