Kansai Region Visiting Program for International Students

 The Kansai Region (KyotoOsakaHyogo) Visiting Program for International Students was held from February 28th to March 2nd, and we had 21 participants this year. The purpose of the program is visiting Kansai Region where a lot of historic sites exist, such as Kinkaku-ji Temple (The golden Pavilion) in Kyoto, Nada Sake Brewery in Kobe, Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. They learned the Japanese culture, history, tradition, technology, anti-disaster measures and deepened understanding of Japanese life style, the old and the new understanding from various aspects in Japan.
 On the first day, we visited the Golden Pavilion temple and the famous Shinto shrine of Fushimi Inari in Kyoto. Second day, we visited Universal Studios Japan where the most attractive theme park in Osaka. Last day, we visited Disaster Reduction Museum and heard a story of people suffered from Hanshin Awaji great earthquake. We learned about disaster reduction and how they pushed revival forward. In the afternoon, we visited the Nada Sake Brewery, known as a place for Japanese famous Sake in Hyogo Prefecture, to deepen knowledge about culture of the Sake.
 It was a meaningful trip experience for international students to understand Japanese culture deeply in various historical and cultural sites around Kansai.
