On Wednesday, January 25th, 2017, 10 members of Shimane University international students joined the special class for Japanese martial arts (Judo and Kendo) organized by Matsue Police Station. This is the first time for all of the participants to experience the Japanese martial arts. Dressed in training uniforms (dogi), they received kind and detailed lectures by Judo and Kendo grade holder experts on sword swing training (suburi) for Kendo and on throwing and grappling techniques for Judo.

The informal get-together followed the special class. All the participants enjoyed communication with each other in multi-languages, Japanese, English and Chinese. Thank you, Matsue Police Station for this precious opportunity and guidance.
