The 8th Global Insight Seminar was held on November 2, 2016. Dr. Marianne Notko, Postdoctoral Researcher, Family Research Centre, University of Jyvaskyla from Finland was invited as a lecturer. She talked about Finland as well as her major research, education. There were 43 participants of students and faculty members.
During the seminar, she presented the education system of Finland, the current issues in the education field and solutions, following the general introduction about Finland. She introduced some current issues which Japan has in common, and the new strategy the Finnish government has recently established. There was an active questions and asnswers session after the seminar.
