On October 27, a delegation of about 90 university students from China (led by Ms. Zhang Xiao Ping of China-Japan Friendship Association) visited Shimane University. They are the leaders of active volunteer groups at universities in China.
The main purpose of this visit is to network with Shimane University’s volunteer group and to learn about Shimane University’s unique system to reward for their volunteer activities.
Presentations from Shimane University side introduce some volunteer activities such as early childfood education, campus beautification, community support in developing countries and university’s ambassador system.
Many questions as well as suggestions were raised by Chinese students. This active exchange has made all participants even more motivated.
