For the purpose of enhancing the mutual understanding among International students, Japanese students, Faculty members and concerned people, Shimane University organized the 8th International party on December 5th, 2015.
Over 150 participants from 24th countries joined the party and deepened their friendship.
In the 1st part of the party, after the opening statement by President Dr. Yasunao Hattori, Shimane University offered a letter of appreciation to Mr. Ishibashi, who is the Mayer of Ohnan town in Shimane Prefecture, to express our sincere gratitude for their hospitality and support for our international students as the visiting place of our field trip every year.
In the party, Japanese students and International students made a speech about their experiences of studying oversea. Also, some of international students performed their traditional dances and songs on the stage, the participants enjoyed their wonderful performances.
In part 2, at cafeteria, participants had enjoyed buffet style meal and exciting game which was planned by students. Based on the result, Shimane University is furthermore expanding the wave of International Exchanges like this event.
