The Ski Training Program for International Students was held at
Mt. Daisen, Tottori, from February 16 to 17. This year, 22 students
of Shimane University and 30 students of Tottori University participated
in this trip. Most of the international students experienced skiing for the
first time though, they improved amazingly after training supported by
instructors by the end of second day.
Initially we were worried that we might not be able to hold this ski program
as we didn’t have enough snow because of the warm winter. However, just
a few days before the event, we had enough snowfall and it enabled us to
enjoy skiing at Mt. Daisen surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Also they deepened their friendship with students of both universities during
their stay in Training Center.
