We had the terpsichorean art performance by Kalakshetra Academy Bharatanatyam: the traditional India dance team dispatched by the Ministry of Culture, Republic of India.
This team consisted of 15 distinguished dancers, and gave its presentation in the assembly room, 3rd floor of the student hall, Matsue campus, 2:00 p.m. through 3:30 p.m. on October 8. Over 100 people, both of in and out of the University, enjoyed it with great impression.
Their stage was so fascinating; the dancers’ movements to the traditional music of India, associated with a variety of atmospheres under the delicate work of their fingers, created the consecutive development of captivating dance. The audience were so moved that they made a round of applause when each tune and dance came to the end.
We are sincerely expecting that this event will lead us to further advanced international exchanges with India.
