Shimane University held a summer school for international students from partner universities. This year, 6 students from 3 partner universities: Kent State University (U.S.A.), Nanjing Forestry University (China), and Beijing University of Agriculture (China), participated in this program.
From July 7th to July 24th, 2014, the summer school students took intensive lectures about Japanese language, Japanese culture, history and industry, and Shimane Prefecture. They also visited landmarks and world heritage of Japan and were fascinated by its cultural and historical richness in Shimane. In addition, they interacted with Japanese students and enjoyed a homestay.
On the final day, they gave presentations of what they had studied through the three weeks.
