Job Hunting Seminar and Individual Counseling for International Students

公開日 2019年11月27日

On October 24th, the Center for International Exchange at Shimane University held its Job Hunting Seminar and Individual Counseling for International Students who wish to work for companies in Japan.
This seminar is held twice a year in collaboration with the Shimane University Career Center for the purpose of helping international students deepen their understanding of the standards for job hunting in Japan and familiarize them with how to use job hunting support agents for international students. Many of the participants at the seminar did not have a high level of Japanese language proficiency. As such, they actively asked questions regarding how to find companies that do not place emphasis on Japanese language ability and how to create resumes in Japanese.
For international students who wish to work for Japanese companies, Shimane University offers scholarships to internship participants at local companies and job hunting support programs in cooperation with private universities in metropolitan areas. Shimane University will continue to provide various support so that international students can conduct their job hunting smoothly.
