The 9th World Cooking Event was held

公開日 2016年07月07日

On June 29th, International Exchange Division held an event called "World Cooking".
The events have been held since 2011 randomly by Center for International Exchange and International Exchange Division to deepen friendships between Japanese students and International students of Shimane University.
Every time, we set the theme country to cook its traditional or special dishes. This time, as 9th event, we cooked Japanese Sushi-roll and cool Somen noodle which are good for hot summer season in Japan and there were about 35 students joined.
Students taught cooking procedures each other and repeated trials and errors with fun in rolling Sushi or cutting vegetables.
After that, all participants enjoyed the hand-made Sushi-roll and Somen noodle with chatting about Japanese food and their life in University. About 30 sushi-rolls and plenty of Somen noodle were eaten up by students in a few minutes.
International Exchange Division will hold this event continuously in future to enable Japanese students and international students to have enjoyable and meaningful interactions.
