Students from Renmin University of China visit Shimane University

　Prof. Fang Fang, Prof. Hu Xia and 4 students from Department of Economy, Renmin University of China visited Shimane University and made a courtesy call on Prof. Akira Deguchi, the vice-president for International Affairs, and Prof. Takashi Fukino, the Director of Faculty of Law, on September 11th.
　This visit was based on the mutual students exchange program between Renmin University of China and Shimane University started in 2009.
　At the courtesy call, Prof. Deguchi expressed our sincere appreciation for the continuous efforts on academic exchange for two universities, and Prof. Fukino made a speech for wishing the success of this year’s program.
　Then, Prof. Fang Fang expressed her appreciation for accepting the students from Renmin University of China under this program, and wished for the long-lasting relationship between two universities.
　On this program, they visited Oki Islands and Mountainous Areas of Shimane with Japanese students of Faculty of Law for 8 days. They inspected the problems that each area is facing and their efforts to improve the situation, and then, all the participants had a discussion to exchange their thoughts and views based on their experience after this program.
